What happens if something goes wrong, who you contact, and what it costs. Very few practitioners publish this, which is exactly why it is worth publishing.
If you are unhappy with the result
Come back. Anti-wrinkle treatment is reviewed at two weeks, which is the earliest point the result can honestly be judged, and adjustments are made then. Filler is assessed at two weeks for the same reason.
If a hyaluronic acid filler result is not what you wanted, it can be dissolved. Hyaluronidase breaks the product down and the tissue returns to baseline. Dissolving is £180. If you want it rebuilt properly afterwards, dissolve and refill with 1ml two weeks later is £300. The two-week gap is not negotiable — the tissue has to settle before anything is placed on top of it.
If something goes wrong clinically
Contact the clinic immediately rather than waiting. Vascular occlusion — filler compressing or entering a blood vessel — is the complication that matters, it is rare, and it is treatable if it is caught quickly. The signs are on the aftercare page.
- Contact the clinic first, using the number given to you on your written aftercare. Do not wait to see whether it settles.
- Hyaluronidase is kept on site for emergency use.
- Out of hours, if you cannot make contact and symptoms are progressing, attend A&E and tell them you have had hyaluronic acid dermal filler.
Your written aftercare carries the direct contact number for urgent concerns. Keep it somewhere you can find it quickly — this is the one situation where speed genuinely matters.
What is not covered
- Normal swelling and bruising, which are expected outcomes rather than complications.
- A result judged before it has settled — two weeks for filler and anti-wrinkle treatment.
- Changing your mind about the treatment you chose. Dissolving is available at the published price.
- Work placed by another practitioner, which can be dissolved here but cannot be corrected under anyone else's insurance.
